What Does Animal Massage Consist Of? Basically, the same principles of human massage are used on animals but modified for their different muscle structure. Equine massage has been popular for quite some time now. It is now becoming mainstream in the dog world.

Benefits of Massage: Relieves pain & discomfort by releasing endorphins, increased circulation, tension relief, increased lymph movement, speeds healing process, immune boosting, anxiety relief, restores proper mobility and flexibility and just plain relaxation!

What is Acupressure? Acupressure is an ancient healing art discovered by the Chinese more than 5,000 years ago. Acupressure is similar to Acupuncture which uses tiny needles, but instead uses finger pressure to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the belief that there is an internal life force within everyone called "Chi". There are points and energy pathways called "meridians" that occasionally get blocked, which stops the free flow of the Chi. Using specific points on these meridians we can open up the flow and encourage the release of muscular tension and increase circulation of blood.

Benefits of Acupressure: Acupressure may help relieve pain, improve mood, calm nerves, aid in digestion, relieve constipation or diarrhea, support immune system, create balance within the body and more.

What is Reiki? Reiki pronounced Rey-Key, is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is a spiritually guided life energy. Reiki is administered by laying hands just inches away from the animal or human and transferring energy. Reiki is recognized by hospitals around the country for promoting healing, decreasing recovery time, relieving side effects and promoting a general state of wellbeing and peace. Tucson Medical Center even has a Reiki clinic!

Benefits of Reiki: Promoting and shortening healing time, reduces or eliminates pain, reduce negative side effects from surgery, invasive procedures, medicine and chemotherapy, promotes a general state of wellbeing and peace, helps create optimism, improves healing of emotional trauma and more.
